In 2020, a lot of unexpected things happened, and a lot of expected things were canceled.
One thing that did not change in 2020 that I am so thankful for is my continued habit of daily time with the Lord.
My dear friend, I can not recommend anything more highly than beginning each day with your Creator. He loves you and He wants to hear from you.
He wants you to soak up His love letter to you, the Bible, as often as you can. And when you do, He promises it will NEVER be a waste of your time.
He wants to speak to your heart in the stillness that can only come from Him – a stillness that has nothing to do with the chaos all around you.
He wants to give you a peace that passes up EVERYTHING you ever thought possible as He wraps you in His loving arms.
He wants to bring you joy – more joy than you’ve ever imagined – EVEN in the middle of the hardest moments of your life. He wants to, and He will.
He wants to show you where you’ve fallen short and where you’ve chosen poorly, BUT ONLY because He wants to help you become more like Jesus Christ. More loving, more sacrificial, more holy.
He wants you to see who He is. He wants you to get to know Him.
If I had one wish for you as you begin the New Year it would be this: Press into Jesus.
Press in when it’s hard, and when you feel strong enough.
When things are going well.
When you don’t feel like you have time.
Press in even when all you want to do is run away.
He will carry you. He promises to do it and I have seen it over and over again.
Press into Jesus in 2021, friend.
You will find no greater joy than what can be found in Him.
